Fans of “Jersey Shore”…we MAY have a problem…
For anyone who has EVER watched five minutes of the phenomenon, they know that the show is basically about clubbing and drinking and drama and falling down and throwing up. But now, the mayor of Florence, Italy, Matteo Renzi, has listed several rules in the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera that the cast must follow during filming next season.
According to the New York Post, Renzi’s rules include:
–The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.
–The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.
–The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.
–The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature its culture and good food.
–The cast will not be permitted to film inside of any historic buildings, though Renzi said he could not stop them from using Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show.
Well then…does this mean that this next season will feature more book reading and a quiet guided tour of Italian culture…?  Something tells me I don’t think so…
