You’ve seen it before… competition shows that up the ante after a few seasons to raise interest and keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The stakes are even higher when the show plays out live.
Now, as the promos for America’s Got Talent promise a bigger and better season – is there a chance that one of the acts could have disastrous results?
In his article for The New York Post, Sean Daly caught up with Howie Mandel about the matter:
“We have had some thrills and spills that I’ve never seen before — almost near-death experiences … I don’t know if NBC is going to air them. But I’m telling you, it’s become the most dangerous show on television.”
AGTNews.com, an America’s Got Talent fansite, reports that the show is keeping the live broadcasts on a five second delay, and a team of medics is on hand in the event things go badly.
They might need them…remember how your mom always told you not to dive in the shallow end? This year’s contestants include a leap into a baby pool. During the Atlanta auditions, two acrobats tumbled right off the stage during their act.
