Anna Graceman looked and acted like an average 11 year old girl when she took to the America’s Got Talent stage. (Which I love – I really hate when a kid acts like they’re 30 and above being excited and impressed by everything. Someone tells them that’s what it is to be ‘professional’ – but in fact it’s genuine excitement that endears me far more. There… I”m done preaching.) Graceman had a sweet jubilance about herself, before and after her song, but when she took to the keyboard and sang Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ she had an impressive strength and maturity without being a clone of a grownup. She was phenomenal.And so, a young girl’s career is born.
