Over the weekend, 2 rescued and rehabilitated northern elephant seal pups were released at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. But before the pair leaped away for the sea, one lunged ahead, then turned back when their fellow pup lagged behind. The two shared a quick kiss, (I'm serious) and then ran off into the horizon. The crowd cooed, and a viral video was born.
