Coldplay Announces New Album Name and Release Date!

After their “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall” EP was released a few weeks ago to give us fans a small tasting, Coldplay has officially released the title and cover art for their newest album!

According to E!Online, a  message posted on the band’s official site read:

“Hello everybody, we have finished our new album…It’s called Mylo Xyloto and it comes out on October 24. We hope you like it and we hope you are well. Love from Chris (and Will, Jonny & Guy & Phil).”

Mylo Xyloto…interesting enough…and for anybody wondering, the band followed up the message with, “P.S. it is pronounced ‘MY-lo ZY-letoe,’ ”

Thanks for the clarification…

And one more clarification…don’t know if the note was meant for the U.K, or if Chris typed wrong, but the band’s fifth studio album isn’t actually out in the U.S. until Oct. 25.

The next single, “Paradise,” is set for release on Sept. 12.
