Lindsay Lohan Goes To Jail Early, Spends Roughly 5 Hours There, Is Released.

That’s right. Lindsay Lohan’s 30 day jail sentence began Sunday night.  By early Monday morning, it was over. Pot roasts take longer than her jail time did.

Lohan checked into the Lynwood, California jail at around 8:50pm. Notoriously overcrowded, most inmates imprisoned for less serious crimes generally spend only 20 percent of their actual sentence in the clink. Lohan is likely taking a sigh of relief, because her time there was less than five hours. She was apparently back at home in Venice, California by 2am.

Lohan had until Nov. 9 to report to the jail.  but decieded to start her term early. She’ll now be required to complete a complex mandate of community service and counseling, or she’ll be sent to jail again… possibly for 270 days. (Not likely.)

In 2007, Lohan spent 84 minutes at the jail before being released. California prisons are basically the justice system’s equivalent of a quickie-mart.
