Many people would argue that Sylvester Stallone has pushed Rocky and Rambo to their breaking points, with six movies and four movies respectively. I have to admit that while I loved ROCKY BALBOA, hearing this kinda makes me agree…

According to JoBlo, Stallone is teaming up with Wladimir and Vitali Kitschko to produce a musical based on the ROCKY series.  The book will be written by Thomas Meehan, who wrote both “Annie” and the Broadway version of “The Producers”.  Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty will be doing the music and lyrics.

And where will the show get its start?  Not on Broadway, but in Hamburg, Germany in November of 2012. Yes, the entire show will be performed in German.

No word on whether the musical will just focus on the original film or the entire series.  But my question to you is this: do you think a musical about boxing is going to work?  And where will “Eye of the Tiger” fit perfectly?
