New Pixar Film Takes Place In a Girl’s Mind…Interesting…
Despite what anyone has to say about CARS 2, Pixar is still on a hot streak. Their newest film, BRAVE, looks absolutely beautiful, and now, we have details on the studio’s newest venture…a story unlike anything we’ve seen in animation before.
Back in August, Disney revealed that UP and MONSTERS INC director Pete Docter was working on a new Pixar film. The plot synopsis was as follows:
Plot: Pixar takes audiences on incredible journeys into extraordinary worlds: from the darkest depths of the ocean to the top of the tepui mountains in South America; from the fictional metropolis of Monstropolis to a futuristic fantasy of outer space. The inventive new film will take you to a place that everyone knows, but no one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind.
Well now, John Lasseter, himself, has revealed some more details about the new film, and it’s a very interesting take, if I say so myslef:
“Pete Docter, from ‘Monsters, Inc’ and ‘Up,’ is doing a new film that takes place inside of a girl’s mind and it is about her emotions as characters, and that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”
So we’re actually going to go into a girl’s mind…hmm. It’s like WHAT WOMEN WANT, except since it’s Pixar, it’ll obviously be G rated.
I’m actually very curious about this. I know not much has been released just yet, but I’m intrigued…
The new unnamed film is set to hit theaters on May 30th, 2014.
