In case you haven’t heard just yet, NBC is working on a new “The Munsters” TV series.  And now, we have a few more plot details on what our favorite dysfunctional family will be up to in this reboot.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, the show will be a cross between a “Modern Family” type comedy and “True Blood.”

As for the plot details (SPOILER ALERT), the pilot episode, directed by Bryan Singer, will focus on 10-year-old Eddie Munster, who is unaware that he’s a werewolf and that there is anything at all wrong with his family.

Worst Previews sums it up best:

“Everything begins when a baby bear attacks a scouting trip, only it turns out that this “bear” is actually Eddie transformed into a werewolf. Eddie is unaware of his transformation and it forces the family to move in order to protect the family secret. Eddie then learns the shocking truth: his family is a bunch of flesh-eaters.

Also on the show, Lily Munster has an eating disorder and eats suicide victims. Grandpa Munster is a 600-year-old shapeshifter, and Marilyn Munster was adopted when her mother tried to eat her as a baby.”

I don’t know…on one hand, it’s Bryan Singer…on the other, it’s “The Munsters” in today’s day and age…
I’m just shaking my head right now…
