A few months ago, we reported to you a story about an actress who was suing IMDb for violating her privacy rights and posting her age.  Well now, that actress has finally revealed her name.

Huong Hoang filed an amended complaint today in Washington against IMDb, saying that the site took her personal information from a credit card she used to sign up for IMDB Pro and used it to reveal that she is 40. That led to Hoang (who’s stage name is Junie Hoang) being subjected to age discrimination

When Hoang anonymously filed the lawsuit back in October, Amazon, IMDB’s parent, asked a federal judge to force the plaintiff to reveal herself.  Hoang originally opposed the effort, but last month, the judge ruled that she must come forward with a new complaint under her own name or it would be dismissed.

Hoang has been working regularly over the past few years, except mostly on small-budget movies, including such wonders as GINGERBREAD MAN 3: SATURDAY NIGHT CLEAVER, and HOODRATS 2, as well as television roles as “Tough Asian” in “Back on Topps” and “Woman” in “The Communicator”.

Something tells me if she was getting such roles, even as recent as last year, it wasn’t age discrimination that was causing it…
