Are you a fan of Dwight Schrute?  Well be prepared, because if “The Office” doesn’t pan out very well, you may have a show dedicated solely to him!

The Hollywood Reporter is confirming that NBC is started to develop an “Office” spinoff that would focus on Rainn Wilson’s character and his family’s beat farm.  There would be multiple generations of Schrutes involved, so we could see the craziness for ages!

The concept will be tested on an episode of “The Office” later this season. NBC says that while the show may be a risky move (look how “Joey” turned out…), it’s worth a shot, especially since “The Office” is struggling in the ratings and has yet to be picked up for a ninth season.
