Celine Dion Cancels Vegas Shows Due To Virus

Celine Dion has canceled more than two months of Vegas shows after catching a virus that inflamed her vocal cords.

Celine Dion needs to protect her vocal cords. Not necessarily with this enormous turtleneck, but with rest.

Celine Dion has canceled several Vegas shows after catching a virus that inflamed her vocal cords.

Doctors ordered her to take a TWO MONTH break (Yeesh! What kind of virus is this?!?) which would put her back on stage in June.

The singer released a statement:  “I tried to sing at my sound check last week, and I had no control of my voice whatsoever. We thought that after a few days’ rest I would improve, but it wasn’t getting any better.”

Can you imagine how much you’d be freaking out if you sang like Celine Dion and suddenly lost control of your voice?

Celine Dion has cleaned up on the Vegas show circuit. From 2002-2007, she performed at Caesars Palace, which grossed over $400 million. Once she gets her cords back to normal, she’ll be back on track with the casino for another three years.

  • Thanks for another great article. Where else could anyone get that type of information in such an ideal way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I’m on the look for such information.
