Live Action JETSONS Movie Moving Forward

THE FLINSTONES movies is about to get a live-action counterpart.

According to Variety, a live-action JETSONS movie is still moving forward!  Van Robichaux and Evan Susser have just been hired to re-write the script by producer Donald De Line (who also produced GREEN LANTERN and THE ITALIAN JOB…a miss and a hit…).

This version of the classic 1960s cartoon series was supposed to be in development at the same time as YOGI BEAR, but many production issues have gotten in the way.  Back in 2009, Robert Rodriguez was attached to direct the film, until Peter Segal stepped in.  As of now, no set director is attached.

I’m not really sure how this movie is going to turn out…could go either way (although past live-action cartoon reboots haven’t really filled me with a lot of confidence…).  One way or another, I still have one question…when are we going to get that TV screen that lets us work out while still in bed?!?
