It is being reported that Gerard Butler, star of 300 and LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, was just released from rehab for substance abuse.

TMZ reported today that Butler has been at the Betty Ford Center for the past three weeks.

Apparently, Butler started to have troubles with prescription drugs and pain medication after shooing 300 back in 2006.  The problem became exacerbated when he was badly hurt during a surfing accident on the set of OF MEN AND MAVERICKS.

Since then, Butler also developed issues with cocaine, and decided to avoid a full-blown addiction by entering the famous clinic.
