Earlier this week, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Patrick Dempsey got a chance to play the hero when a teenage driver crashed and flipped his Mustang on the road right outside the actor’s house!

According to TMZ, Dempsey rushed to the car driven by 17-year-old Weston Massett with a crowbar, ready to pry him out, if necessary.

The teen tells the site that when he opened his eyes, the actor was looking right down at him.  He asked, “Are you famous?”, and Patrick sarcastically replied, “I’m a doctor.”

But the heroics didn’t stop there.  Dempsey then called Massett’s mother to tell her about the accident and keep her calm as her son was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

Amazingly, Massett suffered only a concussion and a “stretched” optic nerve. His passenger, Dylan Miller, suffered no injuries whatsoever.
