After landing in London, Barcelona, and Paris, Woody Allen’s tour of Europe continues with the trailer for his newest film, TO ROME WITH LOVE.
The film features four short vignettes, some based on the locals, some based on Americans in Italy, all set in the beautiful city that the film is honoring.
Take a look at the trailer below, which features Woody Allen in his first acting role in six years, along with Judy Davis, Penelope Cruz, Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page and Greta Gerwig. (My favorite is the ridiculousness of Roberto Benigni as a newscaster suddenly overwhelmed by his fame…“We’re covering that shave live, from the first to the last stroke…”)

I saw the movie “to roma with love” and was impressed by the opening scene when a police officer (Mr. Pierluigi Marchionne) begins the film with a great piazza venezia rome postcard. A brilliant idea Mr. woody allen with the narrator who accompanies and unites the four stories of the film.
