A stage on the set of RESIDENT EVIL 5 collapsed yesterday, injuring a total of sixteen people, including many extras in full zombie makeup and costume.
According to WorstPreviews, a statement was released by the film’s producers, saying,
“It is with regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident…The thoughts of everyone involved in the production are with those who have been injured, and we hope that all have a quick and complete recovery.”
Ten of the sixteen people injured were extras, giving ambulance staff and firemen a lot of trouble when they tried to distinguish between the actors’ real wounds and the bandages and fake blood.
None of the injuries are considered life-threatening…which is great, because that means we could just laugh at the irony that much more.
