It’s been floating around as a rumor for a long time, but now, we can officially confirm that Andre 3000 will be playing Jimi Hendrix in a new biopic.
The Irish Film and Television Network reported today that the singer, whose real name is André Lauren Benjamin, will star in the upcoming biopic ALL IS BY MY SIDE.
The movie, which has reportedly already begun preproduction in Ireland, will be written and directed by John Ridley, and tell the story of Hendrix’s 1966-67 stint in England, when produced his now-classic album “Are You Experienced?”
