Comedy Legend Phyllis Diller Has Died at 95
Legendary comic and actress Phyllis Diller has died. She was 95.
TMZ reports that Diller was surrounded by family at the time she died. They also report that “Diller had recently fallen, hurting her wrist and hip, and her health had been on the decline ever since. She had been living in hospice care at her home.” Diller has had a pacemaker for more than13 years.
After appearing on standup comedy stages in the early fifties, she sprung to fame by appearaing in TV specials alongside Bob Hope in the 1960s. She eventually went on to have her own TV shows.
Another beautiful aspect to Diller’s story – she first started doing in her late 30’s… some reports even say she began at age 38. Proof enough that you should never let age get in the way of starting a whole new path. Diller was a strong proponent of positive thinking, and abandoning any doubt or fear. She spoke often about a book called ‘The Power Of Believing,’ which was a self help akin to ‘The Secret’ which is so powerful today. Below, two videos of her comedy, and below that, her dialogue about her fearless approach to life and the book she loves.
You left us with alot of smiles. Rest in Peace Phyllis.
