Check Out The First Poster For HITCHCOCK, Featuring Anthony Hopkins As The Legendary Director

Good evening…

Good evening…

Not to be outdone by HBO’s two trailers for THE GIRL, Fox Searchlight Pictures has unveiled their first poster for HITCHCOCK, and I must say, with one glimpse, it is chilling.

Directed by Sacha Garvasi, HITCHCOCK is based on Stephen Rebello’s “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho”, which tells the love story between Hitchcock and his wife, Alma Reville (Helen Mirren) as the director filmed arguably his greatest masterpiece.

Simple and subtle, the poster mimics Hitchcock’s style to the last detail, and while we will be getting two completely different films (ironically enough, this film is telling the love story between Hitchcock and his wife, while THE GIRL is telling the story of Hitchcock’s obsession with his leading lady), I think the battle for the superior Hitchcock film has just begun.

HITCHCOCK, which also stars Scarlett Johansson, James D’Arcy, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, Toni Collette and Danny Huston, is set to hit theaters November 23rd.
