From Bad To Worse: Lindsay Lohan’s THE CANYONS Now Rejected From SXSW For “Ugliness”
It seems like THE CANYONS will have no life on screen after all.
Despite an amazing and insightful NYT Magazine article describing the trials and tribulations that came with Lindsay Lohan’s newest movie, it is now being reported that SXSW has also completely rejected the film.
E! Online is reporting that SXSW executives cited the film for “quality issues” and that “it’s got an ugliness and a deadness to it.” (Ouch)
The film, directed by Paul Schrader, was already rejected from Sundance and has yet to find a buyer.
Now one has to wonder…if Schrader had taken Steven Soderbergh’s offer to edit the film in three days, would he have had a better final product? And what does this mean for Lindsay Lohan’s career…
