JUSTICE LEAGUE Producers Narrow Team Down To Five…Who Didn’t Make The Cut? And Will We Get A New Batman Movie By 2017?
It seems like Warner Bros just realized that they have their work cut out for them with JUSTICE LEAGUE…
According to Latino Review, the WB has decided to cut the League down to five heroes for their first adventure. The final five will include Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash, virtually holding off on Aquaman, Hawkman and Martian Manhunter until the possible sequel.
And if the movie is put together as well as many are hoping, Cinema Blend is now reporting that Warner Bros is targeting 2017 as the potential date for a new Batman film. This basically means that the studio is getting in gear to develop their own universe, albeit completely backwards in comparison to Marvel’s buildup.
In my opinion, cutting down the cast of JUSTICE LEAGUE is the first smart move DC Comics has made in its attempt to catch up to Marvel. With MAN OF STEEL being the only real film leading into the apparent DC Phase 1 (Christopher Nolan’s DARK KNIGHT trilogy stood on its own, and GREEN LATERN was not the best intro to Hal Jordan), it’ll be a lot easier for audiences to take in five favorites/origin stories instead of eight.
So our question to you is do you think that DC comics will be able to pull off a JUSTICE LEAGUE film, or is it going to crumble under all the ambition? And if they did turn the order around, would you be interested in seeing some Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter origin films?
great issues altogether, you just gained a brand new reader. What could you recommend about your post that you made a few days ago? Any positive?
