Michael Lohan went on WLNY’s “The Couch” to share how daughter Lindsay is doing since she began a court ordered 90 day rehab stay… and what’s next.

Michael LohanHow Lindsay is doing: “[She’s] better than ever. Better than I’ve seen her in eight years … They’ve given her a lot of the one on one therapy and the trauma therapy that she needed.”

On life after rehab, and the reality show she’ll be shooting for the Oprah Winfrey Network: She’s building a support system when she gets out. And I think what Oprah has done for her with this docu series is really gonna keep her in line and the give public and the industry a chance to see her.”

What he worries about: “I’m worried about the cauldron of people that are out there that she might fall into again. That pot that she gets stirred in all the time…I tyhink that what she’s doing is going to keep her in check, because the cameras are gonna be on her… she’s going to show everyone what she’s doing now differently than what she’s done before.”

Why he speaks to the press about what she’s doing: “When it becomes public, when she’s passed out in a car, and there’s all these horrible things go on in public, sometimes you’re forced to do it in that kind of a form, and you know what, people throw darts at me and so on … It’s MY daughter. Don’t tell me how to conduct my life when I know what’s really going on and you don’t. I don’t mean to be arrogant, but it’s my kids… no one knows what’s really happening… and who’s to judge me when they have their own skeletons in their closet?”
