In 2012 we were introduced to a brooding, misunderstood character with big hands, bare feet and penchant for hurting everyone around him. While this description perfectly describes my ex, we are actually talking about Ralph from Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph. The animated film told the story of the goings on in the arcade games once Litwak’s Family Fun Center closed for the night. “Fix-It Felix Jr,” one of the arcade’s most popular games, is home to antagonist Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) . Ralph is largely misunderstood and actually has dreams of being the hero for once. A chance encounter with Vanellope Von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), a rambunctious, glitching character from the “Sugar Rush” racing game, begins his journey of becoming one of the good guys. After a slew of exciting mishaps and challenges, Ralph teaches Vanellope how to drive and to embrace the glitch that makes her different. The film was received well by both audiences and fans which is why there is now a sequel! In the trailer we see the dynamic duo of Ralph and Vanellope back in action, but this time they are introduced to the internet. There is a whole new world to explore for these retro characters and their journey through it looks fun filled. Ralph’s experience with the pop up ads, eBay and app games is comparable to teaching your grandparents how to use a smart phone. Ralph Breaks The Internet hits theaters this Thanksgiving, take a look at the trailer!
