Jimmy Fallon knows just what to do to get big laughs when it comes to having Hollywood icons on The Tonight Show. When Steve Martin and Martin Short stopped by to promote their one night special, An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life, Fallon couldn’t resist putting their chemistry to the test. The host pulls out his “Best Friends Box,” which Steve Martin quickly adjusts to “Friends'” (pleasing my inner grammar warden), to begin playing a game that is much like the ‘Newlywed Game.” It’s hard to describe the comedy that ensues because it really is the nuances of all three gents that makes the segment so funny but I will say that Steve Martin gets compared to skim milk, and is alleged to have the world’s largest collection of Nazi memorabilia.
