VIDEO: Regina King’s Wonderful Reaction to Getting Her Name Engraved On The Oscar

This will hit you! Regina King, who own the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for If Beale Street Could Talk was seen getting the plaque engraved for her Oscar.

And awestruck King marveled as she watched it being engraved and placed on the award. “I’m gonna have me a tequila in there… I’m going with what does me well. Wow.”

The engraver made conversation with King as he personalized the award, asking her if she thought this was going to happen. Variety captured the moment.

“You know what? Not making the film, no, not at all. I just knew that we were doing something really special… I mean, James Baldwin (who wrote the book)… and then here we are.”
