This new viral challenge has everyone ducked up.
Let’s face it, quarantine can be boring for us non-essential workers and when there’s boredom, there’s the internet. During the last few weeks the internet has been churning out challenges quicker than ever. We’ve had dance challenges, food challenges, grooming challenges, fashion challenges and of course the continual challenge of remembering what day it is. Well the newest challenge to circulate the web takes the form of a puzzle which, at first glance, seems relatively simple.
How many ducks are in this picture?
There are 9 ducks right? WRONG. It’s observation skills like that which allowed the book to be called “Where’s Waldo?” instead of “There’s Waldo.” If you look closer at the image you’ll notice that there are more than three ducks in each row.
People all over social media have been duking it out over what the correct answer could possibly be. Let’s squash the poultry and break this down . Going from left to right, the first row of ducks goes 1 duck, 2 ducks, 2 ducks. In the second row each duck is doubled. The third row has a triple duck, followed by two, single ducks. Ok…all this math has me quacking up right now. If we break it all down its 1+2+2+2+2+2+3+1+1 which equals…SPOILER ALERT…16! There are 16 ducks in this picture.
