I always say, it’s easy to be a hater on the internet. And while I do think the National Anthem is best sung simply and sweetly, an occasionally raspy Christina Aguilera is still an ass-kickin’ singer.
The modestly dressed Aguilera sang (and occasionally over-sang) the number to kick off the Super Bowl, stumbling briefly with the lyrics, and then and had a slightly pitchy struggle with the last big note.
But again – Christina Aguilera’s voice – even when not quite perfect, is pretty darn impressive.
