Amy Adams To Play Lois Lane

Oscar nominee Amy Adams is set to play journalist Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman remake.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Adams got a call from director Zack Snyder over the weekend to let her know she got the role. (Snyder was in Paris at the time.)

“There was a big, giant search for Lois,” tells the Times. “For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”

Adams has carved out a diverse film repertoire over the past few years, from gritty dramas like “The Fighter,” to loose biopics like “Julia and Julia, to quirky characters in “Enchanted.”
