I love a little Dolly Parton to start my day. (The song 9 to 5 should be played at least once a month, while getting ready for work.) But as much I love her music, I really love when she gives interviews. The woman knows how to give a wacky soundbyte that makes people laugh and reporters write.
In today’s Parton quotable, the artist told E! Online that she was impressed by Lady Gaga’s country rendition of “Born This Way,” and would love team up with the pop phenomenon:
“I think it’s great. It’s just wonderful. I love her. Maybe we should do something together – GooGoo and Gaga! You know those GooGoo candy bars in Nashville? I could be Lady GooGoo”
See? Delicious. Meanwhile, let’s note that no matter who you ask Dolly Parton about, whether it’s Miley Cyrus or Richard Nixon, she’s going to say “I love ’em!” And in every case, I believe that she does. Dolly Parton is sheer joy, and I for one would like to be around her more than I am. (Which is never.)
