Kirstie Alley and Partner Take a Fall on “Dancing With The Stars”

It was a bad start that only led to good last night, when Kirstie Alley’s dancing partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, clearly injured himself atthe beginning of their rumba.

Dancing to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, Chmerkovskiy suddenly went down.  Like the professional he is, though, he grimaced, took a few beats, and was right back to the dance.

Chmerkovskiy said that his “thigh just gave out”, and it seemed like the judges were more impressed with his determination than anything else.  Carrie Ann Inaba said:

“Despite the fact you had a little mess up at the beginning, something magical happened after that.”

I give them so much credit for continuing, and if you watch the video below, you will probably also agree that something wonderful happened there.
