Sarah Palin took a jab at Katie Couric this week during an interview with FOX’s Greta Van Susteren.
In response to Couric’s announcement that she is leaving the CBS Evening News, Palin made a tongue-in-cheek remark calling back their infamous interview together… After which Palin was accused of evading Couric’s inquiry into what newspaper she reads:
Palin’s thoughts on the Couric news?
“I think I read that in a newspaper. One of many newspapers that I read online … I hear that she wants to now engage in more ‘multi-dimensional storytelling’ versus I guess just the straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen storytelling… more power to her.”
Van Susteren, who also happens to use a teleprompter, (as do most anchors on television) did not react to the comment. Many politicians who deliver long speeches have been known to use them as well.
