Hulk Hogan and Other Wrestlers Pay Tribute to Randy Savage on Twitter - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

Hulk Hogan and Other Wrestlers Pay Tribute to Randy Savage on Twitter

It has been a shocking morning in the world of wrestling, when TMZ broke the story that Macho Man Randy Savage was killed.  While behind the wheel of his Jeep Wrangler, Savage suffered a heart attack, causing him to lost control and collide head-on with a tree.

Now, wrestlers all over are paying their respects, including the great Hulk Hogan, who is taking Savage’s death especially hard, after everything the two have been through. Hogan tweeted,

“I’m completely devastated, after over 10 years of not talking with Randy, we’ve finally started to talk and communicate…He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he’s happy and in a better place and we miss him.

The pair formed wrestling duo, “Mega Powers,” in the late 1980s, before Hogan booted Savage out of a 1989 Royal Rumble. Adding fuel to the fire, it was rumored that Hogan had an affair with Savage’s ex-wife, during their marriage and after their divorce.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson also took to Twitter, praising his childhood hero:

“RIP Randy “Macho Man” Savage – you were one of my childhood inspirations and heros. Strength, love and prayers to the Savage/Poffo family,”

Professional wrestler, John Cena, also tweeted, saying:

“The untimely passing of randy savage is indeed tragic. All true fans of wrestling will mourn this loss. One of the all time greats.”

Macho Man Randy Savage was 58.
