The rest of the year might be focused on politics, but there is always one night in Washington DC where everyone could let loose and have a little fun with each other: the night of the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
Well that night took place this past Saturday, with ‘Saturday Night Live’ star and head writer Seth Meyers hosting. However, that wasn’t the biggest selling point. The Commandeer in Chief was.
When President Obama was introduced, a montage played to Rick Derringer’s “Real American”, including shots of the President’s birth certificate. His first words? “My FELLOW Americans”.
He went on to say that “for the first time, [he is] releasing my official birth video”, playing a clip from THE LION KING.
Obama went on to crack many jokes about himself and others, but the real selling point was going after one Donald Trump and all the extremely heavy decisions he has to make on “The Apprentice”. (Obviously such decisions as whether to fire Gary Busey or Meatloaf make him worthy of the presidency.)
Take a look at the video below, and if you want to skip to it, Obama’s section on Trump is right below.
