MAN OF STEEL Pushed Back to 2013…Mayans Laugh

Superman fans, now is the time to get nervous…Warner Bros has decided to postpone the release of THE MAN OF STEEL until after the end of the world.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros has pulled THE MAN OF STEEL from its original late 2012 release date and has slotted it to open wide on June 14, 2013.

While there was no official reason given, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to worry.  THE MAN OF STEEL has an impressive supporting cast (Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, possibly Russell Crowe), and Warner Bros is sinking a lot of money into rebooting a franchise that was already rebooted unsuccessfully a few years back.  They may just want to be taking their time in getting things right…

And plus, doesn’t this sound like a movie you want to see as a Summer Blockbuster anyway?
