If you want a bargain in NYC, be prepared to make some sacrifices… even when it comes to your permanent markers. In my favorite discount store, I found what looks and smells like a Sharpie… but is definitely not a Sharpie.

Collectible? Maybe, if they haven’t made possession of counterfeit products illegal by then. — Sadly, I’m only *mostly* kidding about that. The scary thing is that it could happen.
If these things do become collector’s items, though, I’m probably going to regret tossing those “DURASELL” batteries I bought on a streetcorner in Brooklyn one day. (True story: When I asked the guy about the spelling, I was told that it’s because they were, and I quote, “Canadian”.)
