Andy Rooney was in the hospital yesterday after developing serious complications following surgery.
According to MSNBC, the 92-year-old writer was in stable condition. Due to requests from his family, there was no word on what caused the complications.
Rooney delivered his 1,097th and final essay back on October 2nd.
