No matter how famous for being anti establishment and cool a celebrity gets, more than likely they started out their career being willing to do a commercial for whatever establishment was willing to pay them. In show business terms, it’s the circle of life.
This commercial for FirsTier Bank in Nebraska features a young Stephen Colbert delivering the best in banking conveniences with not so much as a tongue in cheek wink or nod that you might come to expect from him today. His suits fit better today too. It’s fun to see these spots when you know how big the stars have become.
It also brings to mind Tina Fey’s commercial for Mutual Savings Bank – which I’ve also put down here!
