SPOILER ALERT: Major Superhero Cameo in THE AVENGERS?!
There may be a very huge, very awesome spoiler coming up in THE AVENGERS…
According to WorstPreviews, Jenny Agutter, who is set to appear as a council member in the upcoming superhero film, was telling an interviewer from The Radio Times that she was “sworn to secrecy” on all possible details:
“I’m sworn to secrecy. I wasn’t allowed a script until I got there, and when I did I felt like a complete child being on big sets and a huge parking lot full of Winnebagos.”
However, within the same interview, Agutter apparently let it slip that one of those aforementioned Winnebagos was for Iron Man, while another was for none other than Spider-Man.
If this were true, it would be huge for AVENGERS fans (Spider-Man later became a member of the team). However, that would also mean that somehow, Sony Pictures, who owns the film rights for Spider-Man, allowed Marvel to use the character.
Either way, I’m now wearing my Spider-Man pajamas as I run around the room shooting silly string. Probably shouldn’t do that at work…
