Ashton Kutcher Wants To Go Into Space.
According to Richard Branson’s blog, Ashton Kutcher has signed up to go to space as the 500th “astronaut” of Sir Richard Branson’s forthcoming Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo rocket plane. Wait… it gets weirder. Guess who else is reportedly going to be onboard?
Says Branson:  “I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him … He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”
The SpaceShipTwo, aka the VSS Enterprise, is currently in the final stages of an “exhaustive” test flight program and is yet to have a final launch date.
Get ready for the weird stuff… the reported manifest is a who’s-who of celebs that sounds more like a cheesy flight disaster movie full of guest stars. According to MSNBC, other celebrities reportedly on the flight list are Tom Hanks, Katy Perry, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Stephen Hawking, who is getting a free ride courtesy of Branson.  Tickets cost 200,000 dollars, and Beyonce and Jay-Z are rumored to be considering the trip.
