I’m all for giving things a shot – but I’m grateful that the ending that ultimately made the cut went the way it did.

OK, she didn’t want the Heart of Gold diamond, & OK, her life worked out for the good because she was a strong, intelligent woman.
But when you think of the good that could be done for others with the money from the sale of that diamond you have to wonder why she, as one who has suffered, didn’t think of relieving the suffering of others?
What better way to atone for the greed of Cal. & to do some powerful good for those without her intelligence & strength? What better way to rescue the downtrodden in the world and to give them hope, just as Jack recued her & gave her hope? Surely that would be the best thing to do in Jack’s memory, would it not?
