“Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark” Has Master Plan to Get Most Tony’s Ever!!!!

"Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" may have only received two Tony nominations, but that's not stopping the show from hatching a plan to get the most Tony's in the history of the show!

“Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark” may have only received two Tony nominations, but that’s not stopping the show from hatching a plan to get the most Tony’s in the history of the show!

Let me explain…

Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris, the producers of “Turn Off The Dark”, announced today that the show will hold a special Tony Sunday performance at 3:00 p.m, and anyone with the first name Anthony, Tony, Antonio, Antoinette, Toni, or Antonia will be eligible to receive a free ticket! The two said in a joint statement:

“It has been brought to our attention that the Tonys have been honoring Broadway for years, and we thought it was about time to repay the favor…Nothing would make us prouder than to have more Tonys than any other show on Broadway on Sunday, June 10.”

So maybe it isn’t exactly a stunt to get the most Tony Awards…but still a creative way to bring in the crowds, nonetheless, and a way to make people smile and want to come see the show in general. (I know I want to, now…)

Eligible Tonys, Anthonys, and all the like are invited to come to the Foxwoods Theatre Box Office (213 W. 42nd Street) at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4. The first 100 attendees will be given a coupon for a pair of tickets to the 3:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday, June 10.
