VIDEO: Madonna’s “Born This Way” Cover…Making Peace Or Making Fun?

If there were any remaining doubts that Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” sounds similar to Madonna’s “Express Yourself,” they were laid to rest this Friday when the Material Girl segued seamlessly from one song to another while in rehearsal.

UPDATE: More and more of the videos keep getting pulled due to ‘copyright infringement’ – by Madonna’s tour manager.

Madonna was Israel rehearsing for a concert in Tel Aviv — singing her own song when she switched over to Gaga’s about halfway through the video below.

Madonna criticized “Born This Way” when it was released last year, calling the song a “wonderful redo” of her own song, then calling it ‘reductive.’

It’s not uncommon for artists to pay homage to another musician in concert – so it’s hard to tell if this is a way of making peace or making fun… but it certainly does draw the comparison!
