This new upright mobility device looks amazing - and will vastly improve the lives of people who need it... but seems to be marketed to people who can't be bothered with walking around the office.

This new upright mobility device looks amazing – and will vastly improve the lives of people who need it… but it looks like it’s currently being marketed to people who can’t be bothered with walking around the office.

Mind you, we do need a replacement for the oversized, hard to navigate scooters that are out there for people with mobility problems … and Honda‘s UNI-CUB robotic Segway-unicycle hybrid thing looks like it could be the perfect solution.  You can lean into turns and navigate through small spaces with ease.

I will quiet down about how a lot of people will use this out of laziness while I quietly get myself on the waiting list – at least to take a high speed spin around the mall. I may have to wait for the next generation of these – since these appear to go about 3 miles per hour.
