Will ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Have A Dark Conclusion? - POP GOES THE WEEK!!

Will ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Have A Dark Conclusion?

Is Chris Nolan going to kill batman?

Is Chris Nolan going to kill Batman?

When the acclaimed writer and directo5r decided this would be his final Batman film in “The Dark Knight” franchise, it would seem he was willing to go all out for his finale. The question on the minds of many was how far would he be willing to go at the end? So post “TDK” success Nolan and writer David S. Goyer sat down and discussed how to top their Oscar nominated, ground breaking, box office success.

Among things discussed according to an interview Empire did with Goyer he says they talked about the film’s final scenes.

How do you end a 3 film series in which the second film made nearly 2 billion dollars? Do you kill off the main character? These were questions facing the filmmakers and in Empire Goyer spoke rather in-depth about the films final reels.

Warning: This CONTAINS spoilers, or at the very least a significant head game with fans!

“The final scene of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is exactly that scene we talked about then,” said Goyer. “It remained completely unchanged. We both knew in our hearts that we were onto something special. I have to tell you, having finally seen everything strung together a little while ago and seeing that scene, I got a complete lump in my throat.

The addition of Bane as the main villian in “The Dark Knight Rises” would make many to suspect bane would at least disable batman considering in the comics bane breaks the dark knights back. Something that has been teased many times by members of the cast and crew yet few answers have been found.

Empire reacted asking Goyer whether or not Nolan would actually kill the bat, Goyers response says it all, “Yup. That’s why it’s f***ing exciting!

The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters on July 20th yet fans will continue to speculate on the fate of The Caped Crusader.
