The WWE has issued an full apology after one of their personalities cracked a joke referencing Kobe Bryant’s 2003 rape case on air.

According to TMZ, manager Abraham Washington was wearing a live mic on last night’s live episode of “Monday Night Raw”, when he commented that wrestler Titus O’Neil was like “like Kobe Bryant at a hotel in Colorado…he’s unstoppable.”  The comment is an obvious reference to Kobe’s 2003 Colorado sexual assault case, where the basketball star was accused of raping a woman in his hotel room.

A rep for the WWE immediately issued a statement, saying “A.W. made an inappropriate comment and WWE immediately apologized.”

Washington, himself, also issued an apology on Twitter, saying that he “went too far with that joke,” and his comments were “inappropriate and insensitive.”

  • You really make it seem so easy together with your presentation however I find this topic to be actually something that I think I might by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very huge for me. I’m having a look ahead on your next put up, I will try to get the grasp of it!|
