Despite the fact that Lionsgate promised us all that SAW 3D would be the final entry in the SAW franchise (thank goodness), it turns out that they’re not ready to give up their cash cow just yet!
Bloody-Disgusting is reporting that the studio will “definitely” be developing more installations of the series. The only question now is whether or not it will be an eighth film, or a completely new reboot.
If you’re wondering why Lionsgate would be so eager to continue a franchise that supposedly went south after part II, remember this…the last film grossed $136 million on a $20 million budget, while the original grossed $103 million on…ready for it…a $1 million budget.
