Was John Blake Supposed To End Up In Robin’s Suit At The End Of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?

While we saw a little hint of things to come at the end of Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, many fans were left disappointed that they never got a chance to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt as either Batman, Robin or Nightwing.

How many Batman fans just raised their eyebrows with hope?

While we saw a little hint of things to come at the end of Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, many fans were left disappointed that they never got a chance to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt as either Batman, Robin or Nightwing.

Despite many hoping a deleted scene would appear with the contrary (especially after seeing images of fake Batman action figures with a new suit earlier this year…), Joseph Gordon-Levitt is saying in a new interview with MTV that there were never any thoughts of putting him in the famous suit:

“Honestly, no, we never talked about that…And honestly I know a lot of people talk about the ending of that movie being a setup for a sequel, but I don’t think that’s necessarily what it is. It’s a great, perfect ending for that trilogy.”

Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES is in theaters now.  If you still haven’t seen it, push away your boulder, dust yourself off, and take a walk to your nearest theater.
