Movie Poster Genius Drew Struzan Might Come Out Of Retirement For New STAR WARS Trilogy!
Drew Struzan is one of the greatest poster artists of all time. The man behind the classic posters for, among others, the STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, and BACK TO THE FUTURE series, it was a sad day for film art when he retired back in 2008.
Well now, Joblo is reporting that Disney and producers behind the upcoming new STAR WARS trilogy have already contacted Struzan to see if he would consider coming out of retirement for one more batch of posters…something Struzan says he might just do if the right opportunity arises:
“If the opportunity arises, it will be a real temptation. But it’s going to have to be a real temptation to get me away from my wife and my little grandkids and my family. Away from the green trees and the blue skies for a change instead of just locked in the studio. But, you know, never say never. All things are possible.”
Struzan’s hand brings a sort of classic element to film promotion that cannot be matched. If Disney wants to somehow mirror the feeling and emotions brought about by the original STAR WARS trilogy, bringing him in would definitely be the first step in the right direction…
