Did He Or Didn’t He? Justin Timberlake Clears The Air On Calling Britney Spears A B*tch.

Just days after performing at a Super Bowl celebration, Justin Timberlake is refuting claims that he referred to Britney Spears as a bitch to the audience. (Although I’m kinda thinking this is a case of ‘oops he said that again – but this time in public.’)

Picture it – Friday night, as Timberlake was about to launch into a performance of “Cry Me A River” at a DirecTV party, Timberlake chatted up the audience, and (according to Hollywood Life) said something like: “Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some bitch!” Then, he sang the song.

But Timberlake is saying that he was NOT referring to Britney, whom he dated from 2000 to 2002. He turned to twitter to say so: “Ok. I see you. Wouldn’t disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though *with accent* #Respect,” he wrote.

Mind you, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Timberlake’s music video for “Cry Me A River” pretty much shows him being hurt – and then hurting – a girl who looks remarkably like Britney Spears. (Video below.) But Timberlake has pretty much been mum on the subject.

He told Vanity Fair in June 2011 that he rarely if ever sees or speaks to her, saying “I wish her the best — that goes without saying. We haven’t spoken in nine or ten years … We were two birds of the same feather — small-town kids, doing same thing. But when you become adults, and the way you were as kids doesn’t make any sense. I won’t speak on her, but at least for me, I was a totally different person.”

Timberlake is even more of a different person now – meaning a married person. He recently wed actress Jessica  Biel.

Now… about that video for Cry Me A River… here it is! Sure looks like a Britney type (of that era)to me…
